Holiday shopping season has begun in earnest, and this year it’s more important than ever to support your local small businesses!

Here are just a few recommendations to consider. All shops listed below are part of Metro’s Eat Shop Play program and are offering either gift cards, delivery or curbside pickup for a safe shopping (or dining) experience. If you prefer to shop in-store be sure to follow all COVID-19 safety guidelines — wear a face covering, maintain six feet distance from others and check with the store on allowed capacity.

Eat Shop Play is Metro’s program to support local businesses during nearby transit project construction.

Miracle Mile Toy Hall— for toys, games and gifts from around the world.

I Love Lulu Hair Spa — for all your hair and scalp care needs.

CRFT by Maki — for comfy streetwear (and while you’re at it watch their video on Fugetsu-do, another Little Tokyo business that sells traditional Japanese sweets).

Bunkado — for unique items to spruce up your home and garden.

Go Little Tokyo has also put together holiday gift guides to help you find that perfect gift — and they’re hosting a holiday giveaway for those who have receipts from a Little Tokyo small business or restaurant. Click here for details on how to enter.

Body Butter Lady — for soaps, scrubs and moisturizers that will leave you feeling soft and smelling divine.
